The maximum rate is based on rates achieved on wells with “typical” completion sizes and surface drive packages for SREP’s areas of operation. Performance results will vary, depending on conditions.

With all component parts built in Canada and the US, SREP ensures a high standard of manufacturing quality. Key components of the assembly are made out of stainless steel and the body is Boronized to prevent erosion. Our nozzles and throats are crafted from tungsten carbide steel, providing excellent durability.

The unique design of this line of jet pumps, combined with state of the art jet pump optimization techniques allows for extremely efficient fluid lift operations.

JDPT Installation and Retrival

Optimizing any artificial lift system is difficult without data. Jet pumps are even more dependant on data in order to ensure maximum lift performance and to minimize horsepower or energy requirements. SREP has therefore developed a range of patent pending data memory tools which can be installed and retrieved very quickly and easily – and without the need of a rig or other intervention service equipment. Simply by reversing the power fluid flow, in the same way that we install and retrieve the standard jet pump nozzle / throat carrier, we install a data tool carrier to produce the well while recording flowing bottomhole pressure and temperature. Once enough data has been collected, the tool is retrieved – again by reversing, and the standard production carrier is installed.

Diaphragm Pump Technology

To deliver reliable 24/7 jet pump pressure pumping, utilizes an exclusive and patented technology –diaphragm triplex surface pumps. Diaphragm pumps differ from conventional triplex pumps in that they eliminate the need for a plunger packing seal system. Conventional plunger packing is a “moving seal” system, where contaminants and lubrication limitations often result in seal degradation and failures. The Hydra-Cell diaphragm pump design eliminates plunger packing, resulting in a pump with no “moving seals”. The plungers work in a clean oil environment and they pressurize the oil to actuate a bellows style of diaphragm. The movement of the diaphragm causes the power fluid to move through the intake / discharge valves in the fluid end of the pump. The result is a low maintenance surface pump system with no need for an external oiling system. There is also less risk of environmental contamination and higher personnel safety when handling sour fluids.

TwinJet Completion

While the industry has seen a marked improvement in horizontal well completion technology, one aspect has yet to be addressed properly – horizontal wellbore drainage. Over time we have all seen that a surprising number of horizontal wells are not flowing from the length of the wellbore. There is even evidence that many wells may only see oil and gas production from only 50% of the lateral section of the wellbore. To address this, SREP has in the past deployed jet pumps in middle of the lateral sections of wells. This solution only works in wells with very low GLRs. If there is much gas present, “flow interference” occurs, where the upward flow of the gas conflicts with the flow of oil and water to the pump. This results in fluid hold up in the vertical section of the well, and therefore poor overall performance. The solution for this is to install SREP’s TwinJet completion, which uses two jet pumps in the same well. This is most easily accomplished in wells that can accommodate a dual string completion. With this configuration a downhole jet pump can be installed to ensure drainage of the toe of the well, while the uphole jet pump lifts fluid from the uphole lateral section, as well as any fluid swept uphole from gas flow. With a single pump skid and two jet pumps, the operator has a number of options to easily control the lift performance of each jet pump to ensure optimal wellbore and reservoir drainage.
